After Muamba was carried off on a stretcher with an oxygen mask and with his chest still being pumped, all the players also left the field before referee Howard Webb abandoned the quarterfinal.
Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Fabrice Muamba has been taken to hospital following his collapse at White Hart Lane this evening during the FA Cup quarter-final.

"Terrible what happened with Muamba during the game. We're all praying for him."
"When the medical staff arrived, Fabrice Muamba's face was on the turf. They quickly turned him over and within seconds were putting white pads and defibrillator on him. It was quite clear to everyone that he was fighting for his life. If he does pull through it will be down to the quick actions of the medics.
I've been speaking to members of the Bolton backroom staff, who say he is one of the fittest players at the club. You could see medical staff using a defibrillator and he was electronically charged on to least two occasions. Everybody could see Fabrice Muamba was fighting for his life on the pitch."
